Driving directions from Calgary International Airport: From the airport, turn right onto McKnight Blvd, and follow it to 14th St. Turn right onto 14th St and follow it to John Laurie Blvd (merge left). Follow John Laurie Blvd to 16th Ave, which merges into Hwy 1/Trans-Canada Hwy. Take Hwy 1 north into Banff National Park and take the Sunshine Exit, 5 miles west of Banff, to the Village and the Inn.

While snowflakes bring the skiers and snowboarders, summer and fall hiking is stupendous in Banff as well. Gondolas and chairlifts don’t operate in the summer, so crowds are limited to the number of people that fit in the shuttle bus, which runs from the parking lot at Sunshine Village to beautiful Sunshine Meadows.
